Another 4th of July becomes history…following fun celebrations, fireworks, and gatherings with friends and family.
Speaking of gatherings…at your gatherings, did any of you get irritated or pass judgment about certain behaviors of certain friends or family members? Yesterday I caught myself making a comment to my husband that I should not have been saying. I knew it as it was coming out of my mouth.
Just shortly thereafter, following my judgmental comment, I pulled my daily angel card. I love Doreen Virtue’s “Messages from Your Angels” cards, and I randomly pull one daily. The card I pulled yesterday was “Grace and Antoinette.” It put me in my place – and rightfully so.
Here is what the card said:
“To help heal this situation, see the other person’s point of view with compassion. This misunderstanding has occurred because of judgments about the other person’s motives and character. To heal the situation, the judgments need to be released. Instead of seeing someone as “good” or “bad,” have compassion, and know that everyone is doing the best they can. Instead of pitying someone, see that person’s inner strength and Godliness. In that way, you encourage Divine light to be expressed within the other person and yourself.
You are projecting something from your own shadow side onto the other person. So, this situation is an opportunity for you to clear away an ego issue. Simply affirm: “I am willing to release that part of me that is irritated when I think of you.” We angels are helping to heal this situation miraculously so that everyone will forgive and forget judgments and act responsibly. Compassion is the key.”
Oh, gotcha! <wince>. I then read the card to my husband who listened carefully, then sympathetically replied, “Well, that’s hard to do.” Yes, it is, but well worth the effort.
I am reminded of what I was taught years ago: “Whenever you point your finger at someone else, you have three fingers pointing back at you.” Even the bible says, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
Well, let’s see, I think I have one or two areas myself that could be shored up <grin>.
Thanks for the reminder, Grace and Antoinette! : )
