“You know what you want to do. You know. Yes, you do. Get a clear head. Take some alone time. Make a list. Don’t quit. Don’t quit. Do what you have to do to get it done. Write a strategy. Then, everything will be fine.”

These were the words given to me yesterday when I asked for advice about an issue.

Last week my son recommended that I purchase a book – “…soon,” he emphasized. The book he recommended? The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Buddhism, the Timeless Path to Awakened Wisdom. The very first words I underlined were, “It’s right in front of our faces.”

When I kept after him to inquire why he wanted me to read the book, he finally replied, “The main purpose to try and get you to read the book was to listen to yourself more so than waiting for others to give you the answer.”

OK, so yesterday was strike two. Ready to hear about strike 3?

Last night a friend called very excited about a new topic she was exploring. I told her I had a great book on the topic, and I would go to the garage and search for it. Guess what book jumped out as the very first book I laid eyes on? Just Listen, A Guide to Finding Your Own True Voice.

My friend told me to go sit outside in Nature, connect with my Higher Self, and just ask for guidance.

Within 30 minutes a cat appeared at my glass door, calling loudly as it locked eyes intensely with mine. With goose bumps popped out all over, I immediately consulted Steven Farmer’s Animal Spirit Guides to see what he says under “If CAT shows up it means:” Here’s what it said:

“This is a period where self-sufficiency and trust in your own capabilities is necessary.

Listen closely to your intuitive guidance, as it’s most likely an ancestor who’s one of your spirit guides trying to communicate with you.

This is a period of magic and mystery for you, so pay close attention to signs and omens that will guide and direct you.

Whatever you’ve released – relationships, material goods, self-defeating habits – will soon be replaced with something or someone entirely more suitable for who you are presently.”

Well, sitting outside and asking my Higher Self worked last night, so guess where I headed upon awakening this morning?

A few hours passed and, still outside, I sent an email to my friend telling her I knew what I needed to do, just did not have any idea how to say what I needed to say. I ended my message with, “I’ll just ask my Higher Self what to do.”

The very next thing I read was the following “Weekly Kabbalah Tune Up” by Yehuda Berg:

“On my recent trip to Venezuela, one of the Kabbalah Centre’s teachers and I played a game of pool with some new friends.

I had a thought, while we were playing:

The right move isn’t always the one that gets the ball in the pocket. Sometimes you have to strategize. Sometimes you have to move the ball around so you can ultimately win. In other words, sometimes, not scoring right this moment will eventually get you closer to your goal.

If we take that metaphor into life, we understand that every move we make needs to get us closer to our goal, but it doesn’t always have to be a winning shot.

In chess it’s the same. You might even have to move backwards in order to win. Not every move wins the game, but hopefully every move gets you closer.

Whether it’s with friends, family, in health, spirituality or at work, etc. – whether we physically move a step closer or not, we have to make sure we’re moving toward the goal.

On our own paths, we want to make sure we are always, sharing, connecting and transforming. Sometimes that means confronting our own issues, or someone else’s. Sometimes you have to say words that may be difficult to hear. Harry Truman is known for having said, ‘I don’t give them Hell. I just tell the truth about them and they think it’s Hell.’

In that moment you don’t feel progress. But in the big picture you’re getting closer – to people, to manifesting something, to the Lightforce of the Creator.

This week, I challenge you to make moves. Strategize. Look at where you’re headed, and rather than seeking to ‘score’ right now, see where you need to go in order to reach your goal. I’d love to hear your experiences – how you get closer, or further, in the process.

This week, give ‘em hell. And let me know how it goes.

All the best,

Yehuda”

The message? Ask and then just listen. The answer will show up. Just make sure you are listening.

Jason Shields has created the most amazing life masterpiece in his new book, I Know I Am Now. Frustrated that I ran out of time to read last night, at 4:00 am this morning his book called to me. I read continuously for two hours, only stopping because of the day’s responsibility calling loudly.

Do you want to live life to the fullest? Go to www.JasonShields.org and get a copy of his book.

Some parts of the book made me pause to record the message, thus allowing it to soak even further into my being. Since I am taking these notes for myself, I thought you might also like to review them.

The mind belongs to the past. It is always old. (The message: stay mindful in the moment)

A man who has been living only in a room without knowing what it is like on the outside is not really a man, he is a prisoner. But if he finds the door and moves through it and out, discovering the infinite sky above, he changes immediately. The impact of the infinite changes the prisoner into a free man, a consciousness.

Going beyond the mind is the only way to be happy and healthy inwardly.

You continue to postpone, and you have been doing this lifetime after lifetime. You must become decisive and do something!

When you can do the same observation with your moods, just become the witness, you will remain centered in yourself. Whatsoever happens, you will observe it. In this center is the Kingdom of Heaven.

The mind always needs the past or the future to exist. God’s reality is not in the past or future, it is always here and now.

The quickest way to reach and train the abdominal brain is through breath.

If you can simply relax and breathe to your center, you will experience life overflowing in all areas.

Life issues can only be solved when you become deeply rooted in the now, in existence.

Life’s problems cannot be solved through thinking. On the contrary, you are missing all of the solutions because of too much thinking.

A nondesiring mind is a meditative mind.

The book provides several exercises to reinforce the teachings.

Reading Jason’s book is like eating an ice cream cone. It tastes so good, you want to hurry and eat it quickly, but perhaps to consume each sentence slowly, savoring the message, is to make the joy lasting.

This weekend I finally got around to reading a book recommended to me at Joey Korn’s recent conference, Power of Thought by Eugene Maurey, published in 1990. What an insightful little book!

As is my custom, I underline key concepts as I read a book so that I can easily go back and re-read the parts that are especially meaningful to me. It occurred to me this morning that if I typed those concepts, not only would I reinforce what I want to remember, but I could also share those highlights with you.

A key point to make before getting started is that Maurey is an engineer, highly trained in the sciences.

Maurey begins by explaining the three parts of the mind: 1) Conscious Mind, 2) Subconscious Mind, and 3) Superconscious Mind. How the system works: “When the conscious self needs information, guidance, or help of any kind, the subconscious is directed to produce the results. When that level of mind is convinced that you mean business, the message is shipped up to the Superconscious which in turn delivers the goods. The path is fixed.”

Maurey explains how visualization works. “The key to effective visualization is putting a great deal of feeling into it. Successful visualization is accomplished as follows:

1) Believe that you have what you desire now, not in any future time. (If you place in the future what you want, that is where it will remain, in the future.)

2) Put into your belief strong feelings of love, joy, harmony, prosperity, great satisfaction or other positive emotion associated with the event.

3) Concentrate on having what you desire.

4) Don’t ask that your desire be fulfilled, expect it.”

Other key points discussed in the book:

“Simply stated, when you have a desire, visualize the feelings that you have when that desire is satisfied.”

“Each morning upon arising, sit quietly in a place where you will not be disturbed. Visualize yourself that evening feeling good about all the wonderful things that happened to you that day. See your friends and family being very pleased with your accomplishments. Do not specify what is to happen! After you have done this, forget it and let it happen to you. Forgetting may at first be difficult to do but it is very important in this process. If you planted a seed, would you keep digging it up to see if it is growing?”

“Three steps to produce what you need in your life: 1) Think this way: know that it will be forthcoming, say in three days. Then dismiss the thought. The information will come to you. It may come from a book you happened to pick up, from a chance conversation or from an inspirational thought. 2) The second secret for making your thoughts work for you is belief. You must train your mind t accept the belief that something good will happen to you. 3) The third part of successfully using your mind is the easiest. Be yourself; go about your business in your normal way. Be active, the opportunities will present themselves and you will recognize them.”

“Once a person has put into his/her subconscious mind a direction to follow, the Power that is touched will propel him/her there.”

“When the thought is released and forgotten, the subconscious goes to work.”

“Whatever you give your attention to, this is where you will have your success.”

“The Law of Seed Money is to give generously and unselfishly knowing that you will receive all that you need. The trick is to convince your subconscious mind that you can give generously because you are wealthy now. Your subconscious then taps the Source which brings into your awareness the condition of wealth. This process is not to be confused with tithing. A tithe is a tax of 10 percent of one’s income given to maintain religious institution. It is an obligation, not a gift.”

“Don’t hang onto an intolerable condition until something better comes along. Create a vacuum in your life. Remove the chains from your life that bind you to a situation that you are fairly convinced will not improve.”

“A course called Silva Mind Control…has brought me health, wealth and happiness.”

“I am aware that everybody I meet knows subconsciously what I am thinking. A person I meet for the first time instantly picks up my impression of them. Such people rarely know why they react to me as they do. What are my thoughts at that moment? They are always positive about the person. I like him and I am aware that he knows it. Somebody said, ‘To have a friend, be a friend.’”

“All disease has a mental cause. Find it and you are healed. “

“Our medical establishment, contributed to and controlled by giant pharmaceutical companies, is firmly indoctrinated in using drugs to heal. In this country a medical doctor will lose his license if he deviates too far by substituting natural remedies for chemical ones. All too often, the doctor is looked upon as God, the final answer to one’s physical or mental health. A false idea? Yes, but it will take a revolution in the health community before a positive change can take place.”

“As one explanation of the dowsing phenomena, it is conceivable that all information and knowledge is available in the Superconscious Mind. When a dowser asks a question of his dowsing device he is tapping into this Intelligence.”

“In summary, your Power of Thought is a continuous process, bringing forth positive or negative results. You are always controlling that thought and directing what happens to you and, to a clear extent, what happens to others. Keeping a clear, positive, mental picture of what you want with a strong belief that it is attainable, will unquestionably result in its materialization.”

Gratitude is the word that comes to mind this morning.

I have been writing about contrast for a couple days now. I was so uplifted when I read the quotes from yesterday, that I believed them. Perhaps the belief in a miracle is what actually caused more than one miracle to come true? Yesterday I envisioned this day writing about a miracle, and today it has come to pass.

The inspiring quotes are worth repeating…and believing:

“When the contrast gets greater, the desire gets greater too, and that’s what miracles are from. A miracle is nothing more than a terrible situation that has caused strong desire and then somehow an alignment of Energy with the desire. Every day life creativity, that’s all that it is.

                                                        — Abraham”

And the message from tut.com:

“How is it Rosie, that with so many brilliant beings on your planet, so few recognize that when one’s life encounters turbulence, choppy waters, or setbacks, it’s always a sign that things are about to get wildly better than they’ve ever been before?

And I’m not talking about the dolphins.

Don’t fight it,
The Universe”

This morning I found myself reflecting on the individuals who engaged in the dance yesterday to make the miracles come true. We are not alone, and when we ask energetically for help, it is amazing what happens. The stars seem to line up and almost as if by magic, people come to our aid.

Today I was thinking how beautiful it is how we humans pull together to help one another. Just then I walked by the calendar. I hadn’t stopped to notice the quote for this month when I turned the calendar page over to August:

“When most people say they are being ‘realistic,’ they delude themselves; they are simply being negative.”

One person immediately came to mind. This is the person who will always pull my feet down to earth and let just a little wind out of my sails. I try hard to listen to the wisdom, but it doesn’t ever feel especially good. Now I know why. What good is it to be “realistic”? Is that not just another way of seeing the glass half empty instead of half full?

I could have been “realistic” yesterday with my dilemmas. The people I turned to for help could have been “realistic.” … but for them or me to have been “realistic” yesterday wouldn’t have given me the momentum I needed to believe in that miracle. I needed all the wind in my sail yesterday.

Our attitude and belief colors everything. If we look at contrast as a blessing, and if it pushes us to desire and believe, then anything is possible. Ram Dass, spiritual teacher and author says, “Everything in your life is there as a vehicle for your transformation. Use it!”

“Turbulence, choppy waters, or setbacks”? They are all OK because we can believe that just around the bend “ things are about to get wildly better than they’ve ever been before.”

Yesterday I wrote about contrast. Big fat, juicy contrast is so incredibly challenging, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. In my own case, it is coming down to the wire in which I will need to make an immediate decison, and I don’t know what that answer is.

Nagging at me is the message I received on my walk yesterday. Literally I was headed down one path, but the message came, “No, don’t go there this morning.” Was that a metaphor for the decision I thought I had made? Is this intuition trying to get my attention?

A friend and I swapped “contrast stories” last night. Isn’t it incredible how beautiful life can be on one hand, and yet, what is all this muck on the other? One thing is for sure, everybody experiences contrast. The difference is in how we deal with it, and how we deal with it lays out the next steps on our path of personal evolution.

In my own situation, I have been pulling out all the stops – all the tools in the tool box. I had already mentioned a few of them: meditating twice a day on it, asking for help, surrendering it to God and the Angels, working to maintain an upbeat attitude about it, thanking it for what it is doing to cause me to expand, asking what are the lessons I am to learn through this? I have a few more tools to share…

When someone is experiencing contrast, it is best not to tell them what to do. It is best to listen intently and reflect back to them a question which allows them to think through the process and figure it out themselves. At noon yesterday I spoke with my son about my contrast. How did he respond? “Well, Mom, what do you think you should do about it?” Darn kid, he has been listening to me preach through the years after all. I replied, “I don’t know. I simply don’t know yet.” I decided to relax about it, knowing that the answer will come when the timing is right.

I attended the second class of the Munay Ki last evening. At one point in the class, the instructor passed around a bowl and asked us each to take two toothpick-sized sticks for our fire burning ceremony. On one stick you breathe out all the things you want to release, and then you burn it. Then you take the next stick and breathe out all the things you want to bring into your life, and then you burn it. Guess what I loaded my sticks with?

When I got home, I had just a few minutes to read before it was time to retire. I felt an overwhelming sense to read a few pages in Doreen Virtue’s book, Healing with the Angels. Where I last left off was at the next chapter, “Nature and Animal Angels.” I immediately felt content since I love Nature, thinking this would be a perfect few pages for me to read and relax before going off to sleep. I found the information very intriguing. It reminded me that I have some unopened nature oracle cards downstairs. I made a mental note to take a look at those in the morning.

Before heading to the 5:30 am Jazzercise class, I read the morning message from Abraham-Hicks:

“When the contrast gets greater, the desire gets greater too, and that’s what miracles are from. A miracle is nothing more than a terrible situation that has caused strong desire and then somehow an alignment of Energy with the desire. Every day life creativity, that’s all that it is.

— Abraham”

Hmm, interesting.

When I got home from class, I opened my email again. This time there was a message from tut.com:

“How is it Rosie, that with so many brilliant beings on your planet, so few recognize that when one’s life encounters turbulence, choppy waters, or setbacks, it’s always a sign that things are about to get wildly better than they’ve ever been before?

And I’m not talking about the dolphins.

Don’t fight it,
The Universe”

Hmm, very interesting. OK, that’s two messages now this morning.

Oh yeah, what about those oracle cards? I found them, shuffled the deck, and guess which one popped out? I am totally stunned by the reading on the card that flipped out. It absolutely nails my personal situation…and gives recommended guidance on how to repair it.

Sherlock Holmes, I’m hanging in there with you. OK, perhaps this is what I am meant to do. I’ll follow this lead…and look for the miracle and for things to get “wildly better.”

Contrast is a blessing? Abraham-Hicks is always pointing out to us that it is the contrast that allows our being to expand, to reach for the better feeling place. Right? But when you are in the thick of it, it sure doesn’t feel very good.

What “contrast” do you have going on in your life right now? At the immediate moment, I have managed to collect three major areas of contrast in mine. I can agree, it definitely is causing me to expand. In fact, I expanded so much that I finally “exploded” yesterday to my husband. He was kind enough to listen to all of it. I didn’t even realize I was holding so much inside until it spewed out everywhere. Once it was all laid out in front of me, I could sort through the rubble.

I decided about the best thing I can do for two of the scenarios is to hold the people involved in the highest light and say a blessing for them, morning and night. The third scenario directly involves yours truly, so after a weekend where I consciously stuffed it into my subconscious, it is now Monday morning and time to move forward with the lessons.

I am reminded of all the great teachers who tell us the best place to consult for advice is your own intuition. In your own contrasting scenarios, what is your intuition telling you? In my case, I decided it is high time to pay attention to what my intuition is trying to tell me.

After meditating in the wee hours, I went for an early morning walk with Suzie and Riley, my walking companions. The uncharacteristic brisk early morning August air charged all of us with energy. Our senses were tricked into believing that the invigorating fall had already arrived.

Feeling a little frisky myself , I decided, as I skipped down our lane, that I would venture out into the coal mine property, despite the scary incidents I had experienced there a couple months ago. Almost immediately, an eerie, high pitched, creepy wail haunted the air. Never before had I heard this sound coming from this immediate area. So eerie was the noise, I reached for my pepper spray, just in case an unwelcome entity decided to appear from the shadows.

My intuition was telling me, “No, don’t go there this morning.” OK, time to pay attention to my intuition. I thanked my inner wisdom for the guidance it was bestowing on me. Perhaps it is this same intuition that will help you and me to navigate around and through the contrast that is appearing in our lives?

Is it all about listening to the gentle nudges? When we don’t pay attention to the gentle nudges, are the eerie noises placed there to get our attention?

Swirling all around me today is the notion to notice the contrast in our lives, then let it go and realize that it, too, is a blessing. Just this week, I wrote the following quote from Abraham-Hicks in my planner to serve as a constant reminder:

“You get to decide how good you want to feel.”

I went to bed last night with a major family issue swirling in my head. With it being bigger than me, I decided to hand it over to God and the Angels to work on it overnight. I asked for the peaceful resolution for all involved. So many teachers have told us, “Ask and it is given.”I decided to ask.

It was no surprise that the following message came to me on my Abraham-Hicks CD while driving to 5:30 am Jazzercise:

There are three steps to the process (paraphrased):

Ask for what you want.

Source delivers what you want. (You have no part to play in this step).

Allow it to be delivered to you.

It is in Step #3 that we tend to muck things up. Worry, worry, worry, commiserate over and over and over on what is wrong, etc., etc. How do we expect to get what we want when that is what we hold in our energy vibration?

Might a better plan of action be to bless the process, see the Divine in each person, see the contrast as a blessing, fully expect and then feel the receiving of what you are asking?

I was copied on a message this morning from a very special lady, a beautiful person who is in a situation that most people would deem an utter impossibility. Listen to her philosophy:

“But I’m still blessed, you know? God has provided for us in so many ways. This phase is really helping me appreciate the basics I have to be thankful for – a job, a wonderful husband who is willing to take a break from his career to nurture our family, healthy / happy young daughters, friends, a roof over my head, our health….. I spent a lot of years crediting my own efforts for what I have, but now I really understand – they are all gifts from God and I need to appreciate them every day. What more can HE do if I trust in Him versus get angry or feel sorry for myself? I’ll just do the best I can and I know either things will break through here or another opportunity that’s even better will emerge.”

Is this person teaching us…“You get to decide how good you want to feel”?

As a response back to his friend, my husband shared this poem:

Remember to Love

For every act of rage,

There is child screaming to be on stage.

For every victim overcome with pain,

There is a being struggling to be sane.

Allow me to see the light in your eyes.

Beyond the darkness, there is a surprise.

For with every enemy, there is a common friend,

A demon shared with gentle innocence within.

Mistakes are reminders…wake-up calls

Shared not just by those we judge, but by all.

Look down not on those who fall,

But remember when you felt small,

Looking up for a guiding hand,

A gentle gesture from any woman, any man.

For compassion received or given

Is the first step for the forgiven.

Wisdom comes not from high learning

But is delivered to those yearning

To be kind to all they find,

Large and small,

Short and tall,

Foreign and common,

Enemy and friend.

There once was a man, proud and all alone

Whose wealth left him all on his own,

Who forgot how to love,

Who placed himself above

Those who were common in heart,

Those who took part

In living life, the good and the bad.

So sorry this man died so terribly sad.

                                      - David K. Brown

Perhaps the biggest message of all is to remember to love, love all that is…

“He just doesn’t get it. I try to tell him if he wants to improve his life, he has to start by accepting himself. He does a good job of helping everybody else, but I keep telling him it has to start with him loving and accepting himself.”

As I listened to this story in our church discussion group yesterday, a flood of thoughts filled my mind. It reminded me of four significant teachings:

1) Joey Korn’s energy work demonstrating the importance of blessing ourselves first, and blessing ourselves at least twice a day… and again at any time a negative situation arises throughout the day (see previous blog article or www.dowsers.com ).

2) Louise Hay’s work, You Can Heal Your Life, teaching us that loving ourselves can heal everything in our lives.

3) Doreen Virtue’s teaching that we are “perfect, whole, and complete, and we are very, very loved.”

4) The repeated message that Angels are at our side 24/7 but cannot act in our behalf unless we ask for help. The only exception is that they can intercede in a traumatic event that would lead to our demise before our time to depart the earth plane.

As I listened to his story, his frustration with trying to help his friend, for the first time I identified with what it must feel like to be an Angel and not be able to intercede in someone’s behalf without permission. Having been a “Miss Fix It” all my life, this sudden realization was a huge ah-ha moment.

Funny how life makes good on one’s promises to “do better next time.” I had no more walked out of the church discussion group when a “crisis” phone call came from a family member. This person seems to be in continual crisis.

Hmm, is this person asking for my help or just wanting to vent? Perhaps a 5th insight for the morning’s teaching might be the importance of setting boundaries?

Until a person is ready to help themselves, perhaps the best thing we can do is to bless them, see them as perfect, whole and complete, and set healthy boundaries for ourselves.

The person in the discussion group concluded his story with perhaps still yet another insight…”Maybe the thing I need to do is just be an example.”

Whew! What a whirlwind day today has been! This was a two margarita night! : )

While I was holding on, riding the wild bull today, I worked hard to keep my attitude pointed in the right direction…or pointing my boat downstream, as Esther and Jerry Hicks would say.

No matter that it took four calls to get my lab work, eight emails to straighten out a work issue, fifteen emails to address another issue, and the list goes on. What’s the deal?

Sometimes it takes a lot of talking to keep yourself centered. While taking a whirlwind tour to deliver some items, I decided to pop Jerry and Esther Hicks into my car CD player. I needed a little reinforcement to tell me to keep my boat pointed downstream. Somehow I knew they would tell me exactly what I needed to hear.

How about these two statements?

“What you believe and what you manifest are always the same.”

and

“Tell the story the way you’d like it to be.”

Let’s tackle the first statement first. In the midst of today’s craziness, a miracle appeared.

I have a family member who has been up to his eyeballs in a chaotic work situation. For several weeks now he would send me several messages depicting a totally crazy work situation. No matter. I kept focusing on the positive outcome that he wanted, and kept coaching him to stay positive and focus on the same.

Today he sent a series of three emails in a row, each one more bizarre than the last. Never mind, I had this feeling deep down that all would be well. Finally, the fourth message came. Stunned, he shared that the desired outcome, one that appeared totally out of reach, was coming to fruition. Check! What Esther and Jerry Hicks teaches is correct, ““What you believe and what you manifest are always the same.”

Now let’s look at the next message, “Tell the story the way you’d like it to be.” Well, this one was not going to be as easy. Both my husband and I had experienced unbelievable days today. It was not going to be easy to sit at the dinner table and not rehash the horrors of the day.

However, armed with just having listened to the CD playing in my car, the Abraham–Hicks teachings, I was determined to focus on what went well today. I intentionally steered the conversation in the right direction, but midway slipped a little. I related the story of a family phone call I had received earlier in the day. Whoa, me cracking the door open was all it took to launch our boat totally upstream.

Recognizing what was happening, I then changed the conversation midstream. Time to stop the bleeding. On we then went, with our boat headed the right direction for the remainder of the meal.

Oh, to be human, so easy to forget that whatever we are thinking and feeling, we are attracting to ourselves. Far better to see the “contrast” in our lives as positive.

Ever think about the wisdom in the nursery rhyme, “Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream. “

Have a beautiful weekend! : )

“The morning breeze has secrets to share. Do not go back to sleep.” – Rumi

Every time I wake up in the 3:00 am hour with a plethora of thoughts, I think of Rumi’s beautiful quote. I had a big time opportunity to think about it this morning.

Long ago I learned to keep a pad of paper and pen on my nightstand to record thoughts when they come. Since the thoughts are always so vivid, I used to think “I’ll surely remember it this time,” only to find everything had completely vanished when it was time to get up.

This morning at 3:23 am I awakened, thinking about a friend. Just yesterday I listened as he spoke about a problem he was experiencing. To my surprise, at 3:24 I found myself writing and writing and writing every which way in the dark on my legal pad– all kinds of ideas to perhaps help him with his issue. Just when I thought I had all phrases all down, at least enough to remember the idea, another batch of ideas would come. Finally, I turned on the light because I was certain that by this time I was writing words on top of words in the dark.

When I finished all of that, next came a brilliant insight for a project I am working on. I was stunned at the symbolism that had never before occurred to me. When that idea was finished, I then was given some personal insights related to the original batch of ideas. By this time, I was wide awake, completely stunned by it all.

This morning as I am working to try to decipher my writing, I see some things that I don’t even recall writing. Sure, I am a little tired this morning, but what I have on my paper is worth hours and hours of work. In fact, I am not sure I could ever have figured this all out, left to my own busy mind. I am simply amazed by it all. The one thing I did that perhaps paved the way for all of this was to listen to Doreen Virtue’s nighttime “Chakra Clearing” CD as I fell asleep. I think I’ll do that more often! : )

I remember Wayne Dyer saying that he does his best writing in the wee hours of the morning. Perhaps that is the time that we are most quiet. The noisy chatter in our heads has stopped, and if we pay close attention, we are given great insights. I have found that the only way to capture these insights is to reach over in the dark, pick up that pen, and start writing.

I am reminded that people who study dreams teach us to also keep a dream journal. In the midst of the dream, you are certain you will remember it, but in the morning, poof, it is all gone. Similarly, messages are given to us in our dreams that can significantly help us with our life circumstances.

Perhaps the bottom line in all of this is, “work smarter, not harder.” Just try it. Put a pad of paper and a pen on your nightstand and set the intention that you will capture these precious gems of wisdom. Let me know what happens when you try it. If feels miraculous!
